Smart Redact

To Open Smart Redact   

Note: A document must be open in Nitro for Smart Redact to be enabled. If no document is open, the option is disabled.  

  1.  Navigate to the Smart Tools or the Convert tab   
  2. Click the Smart Redact button   Screenshot 2026-07-02 183849
  3. The Smart Redact window opens   Smart Redact
  4. Click Open Smart Redact to upload and open your document in Nitro’s web application  
  5. Click Cancel to stop the process  
  6. Nitro’s web application opens  

Notes: 

  • You might need to authenticate  

  • You can upload files up to 954MB in size or 2500 pages
