For users who wish to transfer their custom headers, footers, JavaScript snippets, Stamps, Watermarks, Backgrounds, QuickSigns, Scan Profiles, etc. from one installation of Nitro PDF Pro to another, this article provides insights on how to successfully transfer these personal items.
Automatically Copy User Data:
When going from an older version of Nitro PDF Pro to a newer version, all customized objects will carry over from one version to another automatically when the new version of Nitro PDF Pro is installed in-place.
Manually Copy User Data:
In some scenarios such as moving to a new computer, one may need to manually move a user's custom or personal objects to their new installation of Nitro PDF Pro. The steps to do so are as follows:
Step 1: Navigate to the storage folder: Open Windows Explorer and in the navigation bar enter in the storage location address.
- For Nitro PDF Pro V13 this is located here: %AppData%\Nitro\Pro\13
- For Nitro PDF Pro V14 this is located here: %AppData%\Nitro\PDF Pro\14
Step 2: Copy the items. All custom or personal objects are stored in here in named folders. Choose which folders\items you which to copy by selecting them all, and then right-click > Copy
Please note that QuickSign profiles can be found in the Stamps\Ribbon subdirectory specifically.
Step 3: Paste the items. Navigate to the same directory on the new computer or new installation of Nitro PDF Pro.
Note: if you are moving to a different version than you had before, the path may be different. Here are the destination paths for these items for both V13 and V14 of Nitro PDF Pro:
- For Nitro PDF Pro V13 this is located here: %AppData%\Nitro\Pro\13
- For Nitro PDF Pro V14 this is located here: %AppData%\Nitro\PDF Pro\14
Step 4: Restart. Restart Nitro Pro and the customized objects and profiles will appear on the new installation!
By following the above steps, users can successfully transfer their custom or personal objects from one installation of Nitro PDF Pro to another.
