Printer Page Size VS. Document Page Size

Document page size and printer page size can be two different sizes. When changing page sizes in Nitro PDF Pro via the Pages Pane thumbnail option, the page sizes will change. However, printer page size comes from the printer settings and drivers, and not from Nitro PDF Pro. This behavior is expected, and is why we have 2 page sizes - one for the document and another one for the printer page size on the print screen as shown here:

The document and page sizes are listed as individual line items.

How to change the document page size:

In order to change the document page size, navigate to the Pages Pane, located on the left-hand side toolbar. Once opened, please right-click on a page to change the size, or you can select multiple pages and then right-click and change the Page Size:

Select the page size you wish to use for the document itself.

How to change the printer page size:

In order to change the physical paper size, you will need to change it within the print driver properties directly. You can do this from within Nitro by clicking "Printer Properties" from the print menu, then change the paper size to the size you wish to print to:

Please note that this interface shown above is printer-driver-specific, and will appear different depending on what printer you have, and what drivers you have installed for that printer.

How to change the printer paper size in Windows and keep it as the default:

To set a default paper size, go to Control Panel, Devices and Printers, choose the printer in question, and right-click on it, and select "Printing Preferences". Every printer will be different, but within this dialog there will be an area you can select your desired paper size. This will keep the settings in place for subsequent print jobs across all Windows applications - including Nitro PDF Pro.
