Nitro PDF Pro remains in Expired Trial or Reader mode after logging in

When attempting to use log in credentials to activate Nitro PDF Pro, if the software remains in "Expired Trial" or "Reader" mode, please read the following article which provides insights into the possible causes of these scenarios and offers resolutions to address it effectively.

Cause of Nitro PDF Pro staying in an Expired Trial state after logging in: Nitro PDF Pro remaining in an Expired Trial state after logging in indicates that the incorrect installer was used during the installation process of Nitro PDF Pro:

Steps to Resolve the Expired Trial state and Activate Nitro PDF Pro:

Step 1: Uninstall the existing version of Nitro PDF Pro. To resolve the issue, uninstall the current version of Nitro PDF Pro. To uninstall, please search for and open the Microsoft Windows "Apps & Features" utility. Once the Windows "Apps & Features" utility has opened, locate and select Nitro PDF Pro from the list of installed applications and click 'Uninstall'. Please follow the ensuing prompts to uninstall Nitro PDF Pro from your computer:

Step 2: Download and install Nitro PDF Pro - NLS. Download the Nitro PDF Pro installer for log in activations from the following webpage: Nitro PDF Pro 14 - NLS for Windows.

Step 3: Log in to activate Nitro PDF Pro. After installation, open Nitro PDF Pro. A prompt requesting Nitro account credentials should appear. The login prompt can also be accessed by clicking the "Log In" option at the top right-hand corner of Nitro PDF Pro:

If your organization has Single-Sign-On (SSO) enabled, you will be redirected to your organization's SSO log in workflow to complete the log in process.

Upon a successful login, all features within the software will become available.



Cause of Nitro PDF Pro remaining in Reader mode after logging in: Nitro PDF Pro remaining in Reader mode suggests that the Nitro account used for log in does not have a valid Nitro license applied to it.

Steps to Resolve the Reader mode state and Activate Nitro PDF Pro:
 

Step 1: Verify your Nitro account and license.

  • If you are the Nitro Account Owner or Global Administrator, you can verify your Nitro account and license through the Nitro Admin portal linked here: http://admin.gonitro.com
  • For customers who belong to an organization with an active subscription or business contract with Nitro, please contact your designated Nitro Admin to verify your Nitro account and license


Step 2: Re-attempt log in. Once the Nitro license assigned to your Nitro account has been verified and/or corrected, attempt to log in again using your Nitro account credentials. The login prompt can be accessed by clicking the "Log In" option at the top right-hand corner of Nitro PDF Pro:
