How to provision Nitro PDF Pro subscription licenses
This article is designed for Nitro Account Owners or Global Admins who have received Nitro licenses requiring log in credentials for activation. Follow the steps below to get your users up and running with Nitro PDF Pro.
Steps to invite users to use Nitro PDF Pro:
Step 1: Access the Nitro Admin Portal. Log in to the Nitro admin portal (only available to users who are listed as a Global Admin or Account Owner) at the following URL: https://admin.gonitro.com
Note: If your organization has Single-Sign-On (SSO) enabled and configured in the Nitro Admin Portal already, the invitation steps below can be skipped (Steps 2, 3 and 4), optionally. Users in an SSO-enabled environment will be automatically provisioned a license upon launching Nitro PDF Pro and logging in.
Step 2: Invite Users. Navigate to the "Users" section of the Nitro Admin portal. Select "Invite Users" to initiate the invitation process:
Step 3: Populate the invitation. In the Invite User prompt, add the new user's Name and Email address, choose a Nitro License to assign to their account, and optionally, apply an Admin role if desired during this step:
Step 4: Accept the invite. Users must accept the invite and create their credentials. They will receive an email with instructions on doing so after the invite has been sent. Instruct users to follow the directions in this invitation email.
Step 5: Download and Install Nitro PDF Pro. Download and install Nitro PDF Pro on end-users' computers from one of these applicable sources:
-
Download the Nitro PDF Pro installer for Windows from this URL
-
Download the Nitro PDF Pro installer for MacOS from this URL
After downloading, install the application.
Step 6: User Activation. Once Nitro PDF Pro is installed, instruct users to launch the application. A log in prompt will appear, prompting users to enter their Nitro Account credentials. Upon successful login, Nitro PDF Pro will activate with all features available for use.
Enter your Nitro account credentials to activate Nitro PDF Pro within the log in prompt. If your organization has Single-Sign-On (SSO) enabled, you will be redirected to your organization's SSO log in workflow to complete the log in process.
Beginning with Nitro PDF Pro version 14.29.x and newer, the system will bring up the login window using your computer's native web browser. This login will look similar to this:
After entering the prompts above, you'll get a confirmation window. If you receive a notice asking for permission to launch Nitro PDF Pro, please check the "Always allow" box, and press "open Nitro PDF Pro":
In Nitro PDF Pro version 14.28.x and below, the log in process will use the embedded Chromium browser within Nitro PDF Pro, which will look like this:
If your organization has Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled, users will be directed to your organization's SSO log in workflow from within the log in prompt of Nitro PDF Pro.
By following the above steps, Nitro Account Owners or Global Admins can successfully invite users to use Nitro PDF Pro, provision licenses for those users, and install the application ensuring access to our product's full feature set.
