How To Create a PDF With Nitro PDF Pro

Nitro PDF Pro provides multiple ways to create a PDF through our software and Add-Ins. Below is a list of ways to create a PDF using Nitro PDF Pro:

Creating a blank PDF


1. Launch Nitro PDF Pro. 
2. Click the File menu > New

Creating a PDF from an existing document 

The quickest ways of converting a file or webpage to PDF or creating a PDF from a file or webpage are:

  • Print to PDF -  Utilize the Nitro PDF Creator (virtual printer) to "Print" a webpage to PDF
  • Drag and Drop - Drag a document into Nitro PDF Pro directly
  • Right-click convert - Through Windows File Explorer, select the Document and right-click on it to view the PDF options with Nitro PDF Pro
 


 

Printing to PDF

  This feature allows you to create a PDF from virtually any program as long as a print option is available. It is especially useful when creating a PDF from a webpage, e-mail, or a non-Office based program.

  1. Navigate to the webpage or open the file you are wanting to create a PDF from.
  2. Click Print and select Nitro PDF Creator as the printer.
  3. Click Apply > Print
  4. The Save As dialog will open and ask you to name and choose a directory to save the file. Enter the file name of your choice then click Save.

Drag & Drop

A PDF can also be created by dragging and dropping a file directly into Nitro. 

  1. Launch Nitro PDF Pro.
  2. Locate the file you want to create a PDF from
  3. Select a supported file type Document in Windows File Explorer, and drag the file into Nitro PDF Pro. The conversion process should automatically start.

Right-click Convert

  1. Locate the document or file you want to create the PDF from.
  2. Right-click the file > Convert to PDF with Nitro PDF Pro
