How to close the Brother Control Center (BrCtrlCntr.exe) during Nitro PDF Pro installation

When users have a Brother printer installed on a computer with the Brother Control Center (BrCtrlCntr.exe) running, Nitro installation will pause and present a warning. Nitro cannot close this application to proceed with the installation, and so you must intervene before the installation can continue:

Steps to close the Brother Control Center (BrCtrlCntr.exe) application:

Step 1: System tray. Please go to the system tray located on the bottom right of their screen and see if ControlCenter4 is running as seen in the screenshot below:

Step 2: Close. If this application is running, right-click on it, and choose "Close" to shut down the process. You can then continue on with the Nitro installation.

Step 3: Task Manager. If the above does not resolve it immediately, open the Windows Task Manager (right-click on your start bar, and click "Task Manager"), and look for a "Brother Control" process (BrCtrlCntr.exe) or a Control Center process in the list, right-click on it, and choose "End Task":

By following the above steps, users can successfully close the Brother Control application when it blocks the installation of Nitro PDF Pro.
