For our customers whose Nitro PDF Pro licenses use an 18-digit serial number for activation, this article offers a detailed guide on how to move your activated instance of Nitro PDF Pro to a new computer. The deactivation process is required when using an 18-digit serial number in order to release the activation for a successful transfer.
If you are using a Nitro account to log in and activate Nitro PDF Pro or a license file (.lic) for activation, there is no need to deactivate Nitro PDF Pro before activating our software on another device.
Steps to deactivate Nitro PDF Pro:
Step 1: Deactivate the existing installation. Launch Nitro PDF Pro, navigate to the "Help" tab, then select "About Nitro PDF Pro". On the "About Nitro PDF Pro" dialogue box, please select "Deactivate":
Once the "Deactivate" button has been clicked, you will be asked to confirm the deactivation:
Once you click the second "Deactivate" button, your Nitro PDF Pro serial number will have an activation released on it making it available to be activated again on another installation.
Step 2: Activate the new installation. On your new computer you can now go ahead and activate Nitro PDF Pro.
